How do I schedule a screening of a Two Birds film?
As part of our commitment to grassroots media distribution, Two Birds welcomes opportunities to screen our films in just about any venue. Depending on the resources available, we can bring the film to you and help organize a community forum, or you can order a copy and we can offer helpful materials and/or hints for your organizing efforts. For complete lists of screenings to date, please see the "screenings" section for each film. To schedule a screening, e-mail screenings@twobirdsfilm.com.

I am ordering a Two Birds film for an educational institution and/or non-profit organization with
tax-exempt status. How do I process my order accordingly?

No problem. Please e-mail orders@twobirdsfilm.com or call 1-866-TWOBIRDS with your specific request.

Are there discounts for bulk sales?
Yes. If the Two Birds store does not offer adequate information for your specific request, please e-mail orders@twobirdsfilm.com or call 1-866-TWOBIRDS.

Why the name Two Birds?
"If the birds are out there and doing well or not doing well, it tells us something about the health of our environment, and that can help us get a handle on some of the bigger issues."
--Gary Stolz, Texas Dept. of Parks & Wildlife

How did Two Birds get started?
Laura Dunn, a graduate film student at University of Texas at Austin, produced "Green" as her second year film. The film's content demanded an aggressive distribution effort that could not be fulfilled through
conventional channels. She paired up with friend and musician David Carroll to launch the Green Tour, and in the process attracted interest from an Austin internet services company.

What equipment do you use to make your films?
We've used a broad spectrum of equipment.
For picture: Sony VX-1000, Canon XL-1, Sony PD-150, Bolex, CP-16, Sony Hi8
For sound: Sennheiser 416 Shotgun, AT 4073, HHB PortaDat
For post: Macintosh G3, G4, Final Cut Pro, Media 100QX-LX, Avid MCXpress, Edit DV
For film transfer: Digital Image (Los Angeles) and MatchFrame (Austin)

Will Two Birds produce or distribute my film?
We prioritize quality of content over quantity of productions, and at the present time do not have the resources to serve as a broad distribution company. However, we are open to ideas, and if you have a specific idea or product, please e-mail Executive Director, Laura Dunn: laura@twobirdsfilm.com
